I've decided to go with the "100 miles in 3 months" New Year's Resolution. It's SMART - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-based. Yes, I learned that at work. Yes, I'm a total dork. So I signed up with a website called mapmywalk.com, which provides route mapping and activity logging. It's a fantastic resource for anyone who walks/runs/bikes outside. (And they have sister websites specific to running and biking as well... mapmyrun.com and mapmyride.com.)
According to my training calendar, I've now gone 29.58km since January 1. That's 18.5 miles. So I'm on track to meet my goal, so far. How are your resolutions going?
I decided against the "clean my house" resolution. Mostly because my husband's school schedule this semester only has him scheduled for 2 days of school per week. This means that for 3 days a week, I have a house husband. *grin*
And the "work out 4x/wk" resolution? I decided it would be too ambitious, and I'd end up being one of those people who's forgotten their resolution two weeks after the New Year. But I'm trying to get more consistent with it nonetheless. I'd really like to build my strength and flexibility.
Edited to add: Haha, I was thinking I could pre-write this post and post-date it to be published automatically at a later time. Apparently not! So I'm just prolific today and then I'll likely fall into a non-posting rut again for a few weeks before you hear from me.
