Apple is like a drug dealer

A few months ago I got an Ipod Shuffle. I got it for a really good price - about $10(thanks to a discount at Indigo when you sign up for an Audible subscription). Now that I've had it for a while, they come out with the Ipod Nano. It's small, it's cute, it has a screen, and it holds 8x as much as my Shuffle. I really love my Shuffle, but sometimes I sure do wish it had a screen.

Let's face it, the Shuffle is just a gateway drug to bigger more expensive Ipods.

Highlights, knitting, and an interloper

I present, my finished cat bed. The cats, unfortunately, don't seem to like it as much as I do. Bastards.

And here's my finished hat. I tried to take a picture of it on me, but the flash and the mirror were a bad combo. You'll have to settle for this picture of it on my living room floor. Not exactly an action shot, but what can you do?

These are my new highlights. I was a highlight virgin before Saturday. I think I like them! I'm not sure if they've faded, or I've just gotten used to them. When I first got them, I felt like they were too blonde. But now I like them.

And here they are from another angle.

This is the patio in my back yard this morning. Look closely under the right-hand chair. An interloper! Luckily, my 2 cats were too busy sleeping to notice their territory was being invaded.

Hairtoy Organizer

My friend wants me to make her a hairtoy organizer for Christmas. It would look something like this:

I figure I can knit it with a lace pattern. I found one, called "Allover Eyelets" that seems like it should fit the bill. Now the trick will be to find a yarn that will hold up to repeated hairtoy abuse.
