On the weekend I splurged a little, and bought myself the Rodney Yee Yoga Deck at Chapters. It's really a nice little set, especially for travelling. It's got 50 cards, with about 45 different poses. There's also an introduction card and some suggested routines. I'm planning to bring it with me on vacation instead of bringing my huge-ass Total Yoga book. The great thing about yoga is you can do it anywhere, and you don't need a lot of equipment. I like having my mat and blocks, but I can do without them almost as well. When we start packing I'll see if I have space for them or if they have to stay home.
So I spent a couple hours last night translating the routines I usually do from the Total Yoga book into the equivalent routines for the yoga deck (i.e. which card numbers in which order will I use). The yoga deck seems a bit more designed for beginners - it didn't have all the advanced poses that my book has. But that's OK - its coolness factor outweighs the fact that it's not as complete.
